IPFS, also known as the "InterPlanetary File System," is a network protocol designed to create persistent and distributed storage and sharing of files. Through the underlying protocol, files stored on the IPFS system can be accessed worldwide. In simple terms, it is a distributed network protocol similar to HTTP.
Advantages:
Why use this? Access does not require a proxy, distributed storage, theoretically "permanent access," initial 6GB is free, perfect for use as an image hosting service.
Setup:
First, you need to register an account on 4everland, recommended to use the Metamask wallet. Authentication requires the consumption of Matic, so it is recommended to recharge a small amount of Matic tokens in advance. (Remember to select the Polygon chain for recharging, as the gas for ETH is too expensive.)
Bucket & Key:
After logging in, create a bucket and generate a key.
PicGO Plugin:
Afterwards, download the PicGO plugin and configure it.
Fill in the ID and key, and the "bucket" is the name of the bucket you created.
PicGO Usage:
When uploading, remember to select S3 and use it normally.
