Problem#
I bought a Logitech G304 mouse in 2019, and it's been great in all aspects. During the process, the mouse scroll wheel started jumping up and down, so I had it replaced for free by JD.com. Recently, it started jumping again.
Repair#
The warranty has expired, so I had no choice but to fix it myself. I watched a disassembly video online and thought about buying a new scroll wheel to replace it myself. While slacking off at work, I saw someone say that flipping the mouse upside down and rolling it gently on the mouse pad can fix it, so I gave it a try and it actually worked.
Follow-up#
I don't know how long this method will work, but it hasn't been jumping for several days now. Nice!
Further follow-up#
After two weeks, it broke again, so I bought a new mouse, the Rapoo A5. It feels similar to the G304, light, too light.
